Батальон “Купол” or Cupola Battalion is a volunteer organisation making camouflage nets for use in the ATO zone.
Every weekend, the Cupola Battalion gathers in the sportshall of a school in the suburbs of Dnepropetrovsk. First, the carrier net is made using fishing wire. When carrier net is done, it is mounted on a structure and the coloured shreds of cloth are carefully woven in by hand. The cloth is dyed in an industrial washing machine. This team makes an average of 2 nets per weekend measuring approximately 20’ by 40’.
The Cupola Battalion is recognized by its mascot- a cat wearing the Ukrainian colours. The logo gets applied on each net heading out to the front.
